Converting
our Metric Sizes to US
There are 25.4mm to 1 inch,
so it's easy to convert any millimeter size to inches by dividing it by 25.4 or
multiplying by 0.0394. To
save you the trouble, we made the calculations for you in the table below for
our most common sizes of crystal. The numbers below are rounded up or down
to the nearest 100th inch and fractional inch.
Also keep in mind, that while
many of our prisms are sold by number-of-inch lengths, most are in fact
manufactured in metric lengths and may vary slightly from the named size by a
few hundredths of an inch. For instance, a 4" prism will usually in
fact be 100mm.
